September 5, 2018 - Swarovski has collaborated with designer Jin Chong Yu to embellish two costumes with 50,000 shimmering crystals for Hua Chen Yu's 2018 Mars Concert at the Beijing Olympic National Stadium on September 8-9.
Previous Swarovski collaborator Jin Chong Yu has created two show-stopping costumes for the Chinese superstar, including a brilliant silver jacket embellished with crystallized fringing and Silver Shade pearl, and a zebra-print black tuxedo jacket made with sparkling crystal fabric. Hua Chen Yu's dazzling outfits will also be paired with striking Atelier Swarovski jewelry.
Hua Chen Yu, affectionately known by his fans as Hua Hua, is a Chinese singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2013 after winning the 2013 Super Boy singing contest, produced by Hunan TV China. The same year, he won Most Popular Male Singer at the Top Chinese Music Chart Break-Through New Artist Award, and Star of the Year at the Weibo Awards. More recently, he has won the VIPs Choice - Best Singer at the 2017 Tencent Video Cstar Awards, and Best Male Singer at the 2018 iQiyi All-Star Carnival. Known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing, Hua is recognized as one of the most influential singer-songwriters under 30 in China.
